About Laura

Laura graduated from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, where she earned her B.A. in English Literature with a concentration in mathematics. She further earned and completed a graduate degree in education at Dominican College in San Rafael, CA and graduated with a high school teaching credential in both English and mathematics. During her thirteen years as an educator, following her graduate degree, Laura taught all mathematics courses from pre-algebra through calculus. With strengths in both language and mathematics, Laura has a unique ability to help students turn concepts that they once found impenetrable into those they can easily understand.  She also has extensive experience working with students of all ability levels and creating individualized learning plans for students with special needs. 

After being recruited away from her full-time teaching position, Laura became a testing specialist for The Princeton Review, eventually gaining over seven years of experience. Before leaving TPR, Laura was one of three Premier Platinum tutors in the company, nationwide. 

In addition to her accomplishments as an educator, Laura is an avid rock climber. When she is not tutoring students, you may find her in Joshua Tree, Red Rock Canyon, The Sierra Nevada, or Yosemite, enjoying time in the great outdoors.
